storage price drops UK

Biggest storage price drops this week — 2026-07-18 (UK)

Last updated 18 July 2026Live Amazon UK prices
Our daily price tracker spotted 120 price drops across Amazon UK storage in the last 7 days — led by the Seagate hard drive down 66% (£76.95 off).
Storage prices move fast on Amazon UK, and this week was no exception. Our tracker — which records the price of every drive we follow, every single day — flagged 120 genuine price drops across hard drives, SSDs, NVMe, external storage and memory cards between 11 and 18 July 2026. Below are the ones actually worth your attention, ranked by how much the price fell.

The standout deals

The biggest saving in raw percentage terms is the Seagate Barracuda 1TB internal hard drive, down from £116.94 to just £39.99 — a 66% cut that also makes it one of the cheapest 1TB drives we track at £39.99/TB.
If you want capacity and speed, the Samsung 980 PRO 2TB (PCIe 4.0 NVMe) is the pick of the week: it fell from £657.32 to £230.00, a 65% drop that works out at a very strong £115/TB for a Gen 4 drive.
For bulk, reliable storage, the Seagate Exos 7E8 6TB enterprise drive dropped from £406.00 to £256.00 (37% off), landing at £42.67/TB — excellent value for a NAS or always-on machine.
Other notable falls include the Samsung 860 EVO 4TB SATA SSD (£799 → £360, £90/TB), the Seagate FireCuda 1TB SSHD (£141.40 → £59.99), and the portable Toshiba Canvio Advance 1TB (£163 → £102.04) if you need something pocket-sized.

Where the discounts are concentrated

NVMe and external SSDs saw the most movement this week (38 and 28 tracked drops respectively), followed by internal hard drives and external HDDs. That mirrors what we usually see: fast-moving SSD stock tends to see the sharpest, most frequent repricing, while high-capacity HDDs move less often but in larger pound amounts.

A quick word on price per terabyte

A big percentage discount is only a good deal if the price per terabyte is genuinely competitive — a cheap small drive can still be poor value. That's why every entry below shows its £/TB. As a rule of thumb this week, anything under ~£45/TB on a hard drive or under ~£120/TB on an SSD is a strong buy.
Prices are pulled from Amazon UK daily and can change at any time, so check the live figure before you buy — and always confirm the current price on the product page.
